Dashboard Layout

After logging in, you'll see the Iluvana CMS dashboard - your central hub for managing website content. The dashboard features a clean, efficient three-panel layout designed for easy navigation and content management.

Main Interface Elements

Top Navigation Bar

The black header bar at the top displays "Admin Dashboard" on the left and provides a logout link on the right. This bar remains visible while you work, giving you constant access to sign out when finished.

Three-Panel Workspace

Below the header, your workspace is divided into three adjustable panels:

Left Panel (Navigation): Contains your main navigation menu with sections for Pages, Plugins, Templates, and Accounts
Center Panel (Content): Displays your main working area where you'll edit content, view lists, and interact with features
Right Panel (Details): Shows detailed information and settings for selected items

Left Navigation Panel

The left panel serves as your primary navigation hub, organized into collapsible sections:

Available Sections

  • Pages: Manage your website's content pages
  • Plugins: Configure installed plugins and extensions
  • Templates: Select and customize your site's design themes
  • Accounts: Manage users and system settings (administrator access)
⚠️ Access Levels The sections you see depend on your user permissions. Administrators have access to all sections, while regular users may see a limited set based on their assigned privileges.

Click on any section header to expand or collapse it, revealing the specific items you can work with. Select individual items to load them in the center panel for editing or configuration.

Center Content Panel

The center panel is your primary workspace where most of your content management activities take place:

What You'll See

  • Content editors: Rich text editors for creating and modifying page content
  • Lists and tables: Organized views of your pages, plugins, or other items
  • Configuration interfaces: Settings panels for various system features
  • Loading indicators: Spinning icons that appear while content loads

When you first open the dashboard, this panel displays a prompt to "Select an option from the left menu" until you choose something to work with.

Right Details Panel

The right panel provides contextual information and settings for whatever you're currently working on:

Typical Content

  • Page properties: SEO settings, publication status, and metadata
  • User details: Account information and permission settings
  • Plugin configurations: Specific settings for installed extensions
  • System information: Status indicators and operational details

This panel automatically updates to show relevant information based on your current selection in the navigation or content panels.

Adaptive Interface

The dashboard intelligently adapts to your screen size and working preferences:

Panel Flexibility

  • Resizable panels: Drag the dividers between panels to adjust their width
  • Collapsible sections: Panels can be collapsed to maximize workspace
  • Responsive design: The interface adjusts automatically for different screen sizes
  • Persistent preferences: Your panel size adjustments are remembered for future sessions

Getting Oriented

When you first log in, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the interface:

Explore the navigation sections in the left panel
Try expanding and collapsing different menu sections
Select a page or item to see how the center and right panels update
Experiment with resizing panels by dragging the dividers
Note which sections are available based on your user permissions

The dashboard is designed to be intuitive - most actions are just a click away, and the interface provides visual feedback to guide you through your content management tasks.
